If you're planning to proceed in law school after College, the best choice is studying under HUMSS. This strand will prepare you for more Social Sciences class.

Psychologist.

Being a Psychologist means having a wide understanding about everything. HUMSS will help you to develop skills that are essential for the qualities of a good psychologist.

Journalist.

Being a blogger is different than a Journalist. It would be the best to take HUMSS as it prepares great future writers and journalists during Senior High.

Why did I choose HUMSS?

This is my requirement for E-Tech. The photos were not mine, I just compiled it. All credits to the rightful owners. I don't even know why did I choose HUMSS. Maybe it's because I'm still undecided of my college course, but my heart shouts for HUMSS. Humanities and Social Science, I'm studying this strand for the humanity. I want to explore, be open minded, and expand my knowledge and understanding in the fields of understanding our culture, politics, society, and our own selves. Yes, there are times that I questioned myself on why did I chose this strand where there's no chill time, we have loads of paperworks, and new requirements after submitting the other one. My friends from other strands here in our university were enjoying their vacant and chill times, while there's me and my current classmates who can't even have our sleep. I'm not saying that HUMSS is more stressful than other strands, but there are students who were from STEM, ABM or TVL

What is HUMSS?

HUMSS stands for Humanities and Social Sciences. It is one of the strands offered to Senior High students.  This strand is for learners who aim to take up journalism, communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other social science-related courses in college. The HUMSS strand revolves around improving a student’s reading, writing, and speaking skills because if you haven’t noticed yet, people who choose this strand are aspiring to become members of the society who will be be dealing with a lot of people. (e.g teacher, psychologist, lawyer, etc.) Honing these skills are crucial for them to establish effective communication with people when they are working. For these reasons, half of the subjects involved in this strand focus on Language and Speech. While Mathematics and Science are still included in their daily schedules, they are not too difficult since they do not belong to the specialization subjects of the said strand.
